All 4 Paws Meets The 468/486 Blue Pod

January 12, 2022

Not only were students from the Blue Pod in the 468/486 Building able to dress down in blue today, but they were also awarded an assembly from All 4 Paws – a non-profit, foster-based, all-breed, no-kill animal rescue based in Malvern.

At the beginning of the school year, the 468/486 Pods chose projects to take on for the year. The Blue Pod students told their teachers how much they love animals which led them to pick a charity to spread awareness about animals in need of care. Since the goal was for Blue Pod to learn about all different types of rescues, All 4 Paws agreed to come in and teach the students about fostering animals prior to adoption. They even brought along some of their lovely four-legged friends who are currently up for adoption!

Earlier in the year, students collected donations for animals in shelters. They also had the opportunity to make their own toys to give along with the collected donated items. Second Grade student Emma J. said, “I loved donating things for the animals. I have two dogs at home, and it was so nice to help animals who need things.”

Paws Students

Mrs. Smith, 468/486 Math Specialist, said, “We wanted students to see all the different ways to help animals in need, so we found All 4 Paws and were excited when they agreed to come in and teach us about how they foster pets.”

Because the students have been so passionate and proud of their philanthropy, All 4 Paws visiting CCS was very special. Many of them even expressed wanting to help animals when they grow up. So meeting people who work to spread awareness and support animals every day was exciting for them. And of course, being able to see some cute pets was exciting too!

First Grade student Jordin S. said, “I was excited to learn more about animals that got rescued.” Her enthusiasm continued with, “I am so happy for those animals. I was soooo excited to see some animals! I love animals!”
