Dear CMS families,

Here at Collegium Middle School (CMS) our mission is to provide our students with a safe, engaging, and challenging middle school experience that builds upon their educational foundation and supports academic, mental, and emotional growth.

We believe school is more effective when students are known. To provide a more personalized experience for students, our building schedule utilizes a teaming model that creates groups of students teamed with staff. Staff build relationships with students to understand their areas of strength and need. Staff on each team also use common planning time to collaborate in planning lessons and identify areas of focus for their team, small groups, and individual students.

CMS students are valued both as part of an incredible community and as individuals. The diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences of our students is one of CMS’ greatest strengths. All are valued here! All can be successful! All who are part of the CMS community firmly believe this and work hard to achieve this every day!

Sincerely,

Mr. Graham Dryburgh

PRIDE

To promote positive behaviors, CMS utilizes a Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) system to teach and reinforce expected behavior. The PBIS system at CMS is known as our PRIDE program. At CMS we show PRIDE by respecting ourselves, others, and our school!

Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

To holistically teach and support our students, CMS utilizes Responsive Classroom to provide social emotional learning (SEL). Research shows effective SEL can increase student engagement, achievement, and behavior.
