Last Friday, our Middle School students participated in a dress-down day and a dodgeball tournament!
Students in 7th Grade played 7th Grade and 8th Grade students played 8th Grade until there was only one team left from each grade. The remaining teams faced off – making it a 7th Grade vs. 8th Grade challenge.
Scores were kept throughout the day to see which teams had the best record and who got to move on to the playoffs. But in the end, there could only be one winning team – 8th Grade.
PE teachers, Mr. Slusser and Mrs. Batty created the dodgeball tournament five years ago. Between the both of them, they run about four tournaments during the school day each year. Mrs. Batty said this of the tourney: “I believe that all the tournaments are important to our school because it builds morale amongst the students. It brings such a fun, positive energy to our building on tournament days.”
