Important Dates For 2020-2021 New Student Enrollment
Both the dates provided below, and the enrollment process are subject to change. Changes will be posted on the Collegium website. Please review the website for up-to-date information. Once submitted, all received enrollment materials become the property of Collegium Charter School.
December 7, 2019 (Saturday)
Our 2020-2021 Enrollment Open House from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM Noon. We welcome all prospective families to attend this event, tour Collegium Charter School classrooms, speak with CCS faculty and staff, and learn why CCS is The SMART Choice in Public Education. Our Open House will feature several kid-friendly activities. Children are welcome to attend.
The event is a true Open House; families may arrive as they are able. Plan to spend about 30-45 minutes at the Enrollment Open House. The tours are self-guided. It is not necessary to arrive at exactly 9:00 AM or to stay for the entire event. Not all Collegium buildings will be open during the Open House. Please plan to visit our 468/486 Building (468 and 486 Thomas Jones Way). Blue and white balloons will indicate the entrances for the Enrollment Open House.
Please note: 2020-2021 New Student Enrollment materials are not available during the 2020-2021 Enrollment Open House. Our Open House is a time for prospective families to focus on learning more about Collegium, not worrying about the process or paperwork. Enrollment materials will be available online beginning at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 9th.
Unable to attend our Enrollment Open House? You can arrange for a building tour beginning in February 2020 by contacting our Enrollment Department (email@example.com). Please don’t wait until February to complete the enrollment process, however! To be included in the Enrollment Lottery for 2020-2021, completed enrollment materials must be received by Friday, January 17th, at 4:00 PM.
December 9, 2019 (Monday)
At 10:00 AM, Collegium will post the link for our 2020-2021 New Student Enrollment Form on the Collegium website. The enrollment process is online, only; paper forms are not available. To be included in the Enrollment Lottery, Collegium must receive all completed enrollment materials by 4:00 PM on Friday, January 17, 2020. Late/incomplete materials will not be included in the Enrollment Lottery. Exceptions to the deadline (4:00 PM on Friday, January 17, 2020) will not be considered.
December 20, 2019 – January 6, 2020
CCS is closed for our annual Winter Break from Friday, December 20, 2019, at 4:00 PM through Friday, January 3rd. School will resume on Monday, January 6, 2020, at 7:30 AM. Collegium encourages all prospective families to submit their completed 2019-2020 New Student Enrollment materials before Friday, December 20th, as we will not be reviewing enrollment materials during our Winter Break. Phone calls and email messages received over Winter Break will be returned after Collegium reopens on Monday, January 6th. Please be patient as you await a response. It will take a few days to get back to all families after school resumes.
January 17, 2020 (Friday)
At 4:00 PM, completed 2020-2021 New Student Enrollment materials are due to Collegium. Exceptions to this deadline (January 17, 2020, at 4:00 PM) will not be considered for the Enrollment Lottery. Whenever possible, Collegium will attempt to contact families to alert them if their enrollment materials submitted are inaccurate or incomplete. Due to processing volumes, we can only attempt this contact only one (1) time and, beginning Monday, January 20th, Collegium cannot guarantee that this notification will be made.
Exceptions to enrollment deadlines will not be considered. If a student’s enrollment materials are not complete, the student will not be included in our Enrollment Lottery, enrolled, or placed on a waiting list. Please do not wait until the last minute to begin the New Student Enrollment process!
January 24, 2020 (Friday)
The Enrollment Lottery will be conducted on Friday, January 24, 2020. New families will be notified via U.S. mail during the week of February 10, 2020, regarding their child’s 2020-2021 enrollment status (either enrolled or placed on a waiting list). Enrollment status information will not be provided by email or telephone. Again, late and/or incomplete materials will not be considered for the Enrollment Lottery. See the AFTER January 17, 2020 (Friday) section below.
AFTER January 17, 2020 (Friday)
After the New Student Enrollment deadline (4:00 PM on Friday, January 17th), Collegium will continue to accept 2020-2021 New Student Enrollment materials on a first-come, first-served basis for enrollment or waitlist placement (depending upon space availability). Families interested in enrolling their children in Collegium should access, complete, and submit 2020-2021 New Student Enrollment materials as soon as possible. Collegium dates and timestamps all submitted materials to preserve the order in which they are received. Please allow two (2) weeks for review and processing of New Student Enrollment materials submitted after Friday, January 17th. Collegium must first focus on processing enrollment materials received before the deadline so those submissions can be ready for the Enrollment Lottery on Friday, January 24th.
The following school districts provide transportation for Collegium families: Coatesville, Downingtown, Great Valley, Owen J. Roberts, Phoenixville, Tredyffrin-Easttown, Unionville Chadds Ford, and West Chester.
