Athletics at Collegium

We are excited to announce that Collegium Athletics will be expanding athletics in the 2022-23 school year. This year all paperwork will be completed online. Thank you all for your support and Go Cougars!

Collegium currently fields interscholastic athletic teams for our students in grades 7-12. We also offer intramural sports for our students in grades K-6. This aligns Collegium with PIAA eligibility standards. Student-athletes who intend to participate on an interscholastic sports team(s) for the 2022-23 school year are required to complete the following forms on this site: PIAA Pre-participation (or recertification for multiple sports), Emergency Contact Form, Travel Verification Form.

Please find up-to-date game schedules in two places:

  • The CCS Calendar and filter for Athletics Dept.
  • Arbiter Live – this site is a work in progress but connects with our referee/officials schedule. Please continue to use the CCS Calendar and email Mrs. Kurpel with any questions.

Thank you for choosing Collegium Charter for your child! We look forward to working with them as they grow as students who play sports.

PIAA Physicals

For the 2022-23 school year, all forms (including the PIAA Physical Evaluation) will be completed on FamilyID and are included in the PIAA paperwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need to get another PIAA Physical Evaluation Form if my child has already participated in a sport during the current school year?

A: A: No, you will need to turn in a PIAA Recertification Form on FamilyID. Page 8 is to be completed by a parent or guardian. We will notify you if additional information is needed, and page 9 must then be completed by your child(ren)’s Primary Care Physician.

Q: Can my child play a sport that Collegium doesn’t offer?

A: Yes, If Collegium doesn’t offer a sport that your child is interested in, they can play that sport for their home district. These are the steps you would need to take to participate in your home district:

  1. Note from parent or guardian, stating that he has permission to participate in that sport
  2. Confirmation from coaches that your child is a member of the team.
  3. Schedule of games for that sport
  4. Days that he would have to leave early for games

Students are only allowed to leave school early for games. Students are not permitted to leave early for practices unless they have a study hall at the end of the day.
