468 & 486 Buildings

Principals 468 & 486 BUILDINGS

Hi, Families! Can you believe it’s spring already? This year has really flown by! While our 468 and 486 Building staff miss our students greatly during this unexpected closure, we all hope that everyone is staying healthy and soaking up this family time.

Moving forward, we’ll use this webpage to share at-home resources and activities with you. Our webpage platform allows us to edit, add, and make adjustments to content we post, as necessary. It will also help to keep the resources more organized for our families.

Information on our webpage will be divided by grade level. Within each grade level you’ll find:

  • Online and offline resources and activities. Our goal is to create activities that your children can complete without having printed resources. Please keep in mind that the resources we’re sharing are intended to support academic skills for which our students have already received instruction.
  • A Specialized Services folder. If your child receives Special Education services, English Language services, services from a Reading and/or Math Specialist, or other specialized services, you can access this folder for information by grade level from our teachers in those areas.
  • Parent/Guardian Resources folder: This area is filled with ideas on how to use our ROAR program at home. We know how important structure is for students’ academic and personal success. Our current separation has removed much of the structure your children are accustomed to at school. We hope that the information in this folder will help you create ROAR-like structure at home for your children.

Our teachers will still use ClassDojo to stay connected with you, to read stories for your children, for video check-ins, and more. We’ve enjoyed seeing pictures on ClassDojo of families and students completing work and spending time together! Please keep sending pictures to your teachers to be shared with your classes.

Your patience and resilience during our school closure are awesome. Thank you! We’re here to help, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to your teachers or to either of us via email or ClassDojo.

We’re thinking about you all and hope to see everyone soon! Until then, please stay safe and well.

468/486 Building Learning Resources

While Collegium remains closed, 468/486 Building students and parents/guardians are encouraged to access our Google Drive folder that compiles helpful resources, academic exercises, and learning-based activities. Our shared resources are engaging and manageable for all K-4th Grade families, regardless of the varying levels of technology and printing capabilities in your homes. We even created a helpful tutorial that explains how to access our offline and online resources. Families are also encouraged to continue using ClassDojo and email to connect with 468/486 Building faculty/staff.

Questions About Our Resources?

If you have questions about the content of our resources, please contact your child’s teacher(s) directly. If you are having trouble accessing the resources, please email Mrs. Melanie Lewis (mlewis@ccs.us) for assistance.
