468 & 486 Buildings

Dear 468/486 Community,

We hope everyone is enjoying this cold weather! Our students successfully made it through the first trimester, and we hope you were able to meet with teachers to discuss your child’s progress. We are so proud of the hard work from both our students and staff!

This school year our students have been working in Pods on exciting projects that give back to the community. For example, our Red Pod is planting gardens around the school and the food produced will be donated to the Food Bank. Other pods are working to support animals in shelters, make connections with veterans, organizing a school carnival, and more! We can’t wait to see their hard work continue throughout the year. We encourage you to read our biweekly Parent Newsletter on Class Dojo for continued updates and photos!

To support our academic programs and ensure our students are ready to learn, beginning in January, half-day Wednesdays will be “Wellness Wednesdays” which will be fun days when we focus on social-emotional learning, our ROAR program, and Pod activities! We can’t wait to see the impact these days have on students socially, emotionally, and academically!

Yours in partnership,

Mallory DeCarolis
